Robert Pattinson reveals Twilight message

Robert Pattinson believes the 'Twilight' movies are a metaphor for sexual abstinence.

The 23-year-old star - who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the saga - is unable to have a sexual relationship with a human because he fears that if he goes further than a kiss, his emotions and the power of his body may injure his beloved.

But the British actor thinks the abstinence makes the films even sexier, because the central characters are unable to do anything about their lust for one another.

He said: "The success of the 'Twilight' books comes from the fact that fans can lust after Edward and yet, certainly in the first book, there's no actual sexual contact between him and the series heroine.

"'Twilight' is a big metaphor for sexual abstinence, and yet it's erotic underneath. There are so many elements in the story which are sexy."

The books which the films are based on were written by Stephanie Meyer, a Mormon who does not believe in sex before marriage.

The latest film in the series, 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon', has already taken over $230 million and has turned Robert, the leading man, into a global heartthrob.

Miley Cyrus to Queen Elizabeth II : Look at My Boobs!

Seriously, Miley Cyrus?!?

We know the singer believes she's celebrity royalty, but was no one around this week to inform the self-obsessed star that there are proper - and improper, as Miley proved - ways to dress in front of actual royalty?

Cyrus and Lady Gaga were two of the American singers chosen to meet the Queen of England at yesterday's Royal Variety Awards in London. While the latter celeb actually donned appropriate attire for the occasion, Miley treated the honor like a night of club-hopping.

As you take a look at the outfits Cyrus wore to greet Queen Elizabeth II at the event and to perform in front of her, try not to injure your jaw when it drops to the ground...

Metro station

If you haven’t listened to Metro Station before, now is the time to start! Members include Mason Muss (vocals/guitar), Trace Cyrus (guitar/vocals), Blake Healy (synth/beats/bass), and Anthony Improgo (drums). Amidst the excitement of their CD release (in stores now!), I recently had the chance to catch up with the band.

Metro Station formed when the guys met in L.A. a few years back. Growing up in different places, they were all fairly new to L.A. upon first meeting. Says Blake, “A metro station is a place where paths meet, and our band is where our paths met.” That's how Metro Station was adopted as the official band name.

A perfect blend of rock, pop, and electronica, the band’s sound can be placed under the category of pop punk with synthesizers. With catchy melodies, Metro Station’s music will make you want to get up and dance. According to the guys, Blink-182 has had a major influence on their songwriting. Other bands that have had a significant influence on their sound include the Postal Service, New Order, Depeche Mode, Yaz, and the Faint.

Metro Station is currently wrapping up a tour with Valencia, Just Surrender, and We the Kings. And they’re not wasting any time before jumping into the next one! Shortly after wrapping up this tour, Metro Station will hit the road again — this time with Motion City Soundtrack, Mae, and Anberlin.

Find out when Metro Station is coming to a city near you! Tour dates are listed on myspace.com/metrostation.
